Sketch: The Cottage Coffeematic

'Cottage Coffeematic' by Jamie Kapitain. Ink, acrylic and watercolor.

During the recent week spent on Balsam Lake, we made good use of the cottage rental’s classic GE Coffeematic and I had to sketch it. This old appliance boasted a vintage cream color and tinted, transparent plastic. I like how the water well has two functions – holds the water and supports the filter bay above – and is transparent revealing how the appliance operates. It wouldn’t win a brewing race up against the slick coffee makers of today but at a cottage, what’s the rush. Coffee time!

Your blog totally matches this definition and I promise I’ll come back. I also suggest you check out this blog I just saw, I think it’s great as well: Drawings Paintings Prints
    Will be coming back,
    Cheers!
